What is UGuide?
UGuide helps clubs, councils and organisations write a user guide for each building they look after: how to turn on the heating, use the kitchen, set the alarm and lock up. You stick QR codes around the building, and anyone who hires or uses it scans a code to see the right steps on their phone.
How it fits together
- Entity: the council, club, school or organisation that owns your facilities. Its licences, billing and people sit here.
- Facility: a building or venue, such as a pavilion or community hall.
- Guide: a user guide for that facility. Most facilities have one; you can add more, such as a separate guide for the kitchen.
- Sections: the parts of a guide (Heating & cooling, Lighting, Locking up), each with instructions, photos, videos and documents. A section can have sub-sections for individual pieces of equipment.
What visitors see
When you publish a guide, it gets a permanent QR code, and with a Basic or Pro licence so does every section. Visitors don't need an app or an account: their phone camera opens the guide in the browser. A code next to the dishwasher opens the dishwasher's steps first.
You can keep editing after you've printed the codes. The stickers on the wall always show the latest version.
