Choose which emails you get

UGuide emails you when someone else does something you'd want to know about. You choose which of these emails you get, and you never get one about your own changes.

Choose which emails you get

1. Choose Account at the top of any page to open My account.
2. Under Email notifications, turn each kind on or off. It's saved straight away.

Every kind starts on. Each email also has a Choose which emails you get link at the bottom that opens this setting.

The emails

• Guide changes: someone on a facility's team changed a guide and chose to let the team know. The email lists what changed, with their note if they wrote one. Reply to it to answer them.
• New problem reports: a copy of each problem a visitor reports with Report a problem. The facility's contact always gets the report, whatever they've chosen, and never gets it twice.
• Problem report updates: someone marked a report In progress, Resolved or Dismissed, or reopened it, on the Reporting tab.
• Known issue reminders: while visitors are being warned about a known issue, everyone on the facility's team gets a reminder every 7 days. These can't be turned off here: they stop when someone turns off Warn visitors on the Reporting tab.

A facility's team is everyone who can work on it: the people added to the facility, and the owner of its entity.

These settings don't affect emails about your account, your entity's billing or free trial, or invites.

Let your team know when you change a guide

When you change a guide (save a section, add, rename or delete one, change the guide's details, publish or unpublish it, or create or delete a guide), UGuide asks Let your team know? It lists what you've changed that the team hasn't heard about yet.

• Add a note if you like, then choose Email. Everyone on the team who has Guide changes turned on gets an email from you, and can reply to you.
• Choose Don't email to keep those changes to yourself.
• Making lots of changes? Tick Don't ask again about this guide until I close this tab.

Adding or deleting photos, videos and documents, and turning Needs the facility PIN on or off, don't ask straight away: they're included the next time you save the section, or when you leave it. Moving sections up or down never asks. If nobody else is on the team, or they've all turned these emails off, UGuide doesn't ask.
