Put your logo and colours on your guides

Your entity can show its own logo and colour instead of UGuide's. They're used for every facility with a Basic or Pro licence, on:

  • the guides people open by scanning your QR codes (and the browser tab shows your icon)
  • printed signs and labels from the QR codes page
  • guide PDFs
  • invites to join your entity, and the emails visitors send with Report a problem
  • your entity's and facilities' pages here, while you work on them

A small Powered by UGuide stays at the bottom of guides, and "Made with UGuide" at the bottom of PDFs.

Diagrams UGuide AI draws for a section use your colour too. A diagram is saved as a picture, so one drawn before you added or changed your colour keeps the colours it was drawn in: delete it and ask UGuide AI for it again.

Add your logo and colour

  1. Open the entity and choose Edit details. (When you create an entity with a licence, the same fields are the last step.)
  2. Under Branding, pick your Main colour, or type its code, for example #0a7d4f.
  3. Choose Upload a wide logo and, if you have one, Upload a square icon.
  4. Check the Preview, then choose Save details.

Everything is optional: a colour on its own works, and so does just one of the two logos. Only the entity's owner can change its branding.

Which logo files work best

  • Wide logo: your logo with its name beside it, between 2 and 8 times as wide as it is tall. About 800 × 200 pixels is ideal. It's used in headers, on signs, in PDFs and in emails.
  • Square icon: just your emblem or initials, at least 256 × 256 pixels. It's used where there's little room: on phones, on small QR labels and in the browser tab. Without one, phones show the wide logo smaller.
  • A PNG with a transparent background looks best. JPEG, WebP and SVG work too. White space around the logo is trimmed off for you.
Only upload logos your organisation owns or has permission to use.

Light colours

Buttons and links need to stand out against white. If your colour is light (a yellow, for example), a darker shade of it is used for buttons, links and text, and the exact colour for lines and the frame round printed QR codes. The preview shows how it will look.

Different branding for one facility (Pro)

A facility with a Pro licence can have a logo and colour of its own, for example a hall that another club runs. See Give a facility its own logo and colour.

If a licence changes

  • Pro to Basic: a facility with its own branding shows the entity's instead.
  • No licence (for example when a free trial ends without a card): the facility's guides, signs and PDFs show UGuide's logo and colours again.

Nothing is deleted. Your branding is kept, and shows again as soon as the facility has a licence that includes it. Signs you've already printed keep the logo they were printed with, so reprint them if you change it.
